Maya Deren series
Continuing from her successful rescorings of the films Meditation on Violence and Ritual in Transfigured Time for Lontano and the Goldfield Ensemble respectively, Sierra recently completed Studies in Choreography, the third in a series of new scores for chamber ensembles, set to Maya Deren's expressive and surreal films from the 1940's and 50's. The next score in the series will be set to Deren's masterpiece At Land.
